In this project, the objective was to create a story only using sound that our group creates. This was a very fun project to put together as we had to think of creative ways to get the listeners to understand what the storyline we've created is. What made this project challenging was the fact that we were only able to utilize 7 words. This means the listeners have to determine our storyline from solely just the sounds.
I came up with the idea of the project, which was Kylie Jenner waking up her baby, Stormi, from a nap. My group members loved it and instantly agreed on the topic. Following that my group threw out idea after idea on what sounds should be included. We knew we needed footsteps, baby crying, sheets moving, Kylie's iconic phrases, and a baba noise. We agreed that I would mimic Kylie's voice saying the phrases, "rise and shine" and "Stormi, Stormi baby". This took up 6 of the 7 words we had to use, which was perfect. For the sounds of the baby, we had Mia go into an echoey room and make crying noises. For the sound of the sheets moving Barbara moved her arms around in her windbreaker jacket, which made it sound like sheets being moved as Kylie picks up her baby.
We had to make a separate video recording of how we made our sounds. We filmed on Mia's phone, and I edited everything together. I was able to create the final product but I couldn't figure out how to blackout the screen Barabara was then able to help me complete the finished product with that step, so the listeners will be able to get our group's idea.
