Focus Group

 Nick Ruspantini (brother):

  • Music is a very good selection for the theme
  • The beginning montage sequence is very well shot and engaging to get the audience's attention
  • Some of the cuts are abrupt and some dialogue is stuttered because of it
  • Not much of a climax because there was no build-up
  • All the props were on point
  • believable sets of the room
Anthony Ruspantini
  • Editing was nice
  • Script/dialogue was very cliche
  • If it was a chick flick you should've talked about the guy more
  • No rising action, the story was dull because there was no climax.
  • The vibe was good in the car scene

Cristian Escalona
  • Good interesting angles
  • Likes the rearview mirror shot
  • Unique variety of angles
  • Likes the diversity of having Matthew as the "hot guy"
Danny Ruspantini
  • going to the store was boring
  • outfits were typical teenage feel
  • different stereotypes of the character
  • Each character had their own personality, without background knowledge
Ryan Ugalde
The intro looks pretty good. I’d fix the logistic problem like Matt’s noticeability and the pacing is a bit fast but other than that I think i’m definitely in for a romantic movie.

Actor Dropout

Max - love interest was switched to Matthew

The day before our film we had a surprise text from max telling us he was sick. At this point, we were very afraid we would have to cut out the love interest storyline from our film completely. Luckily, because we had our audition process for the "hot guy" role we had other people to contact to be the understudy. The runner-up of the role was Matthew Gordon, who auditioned for the role. I contacted Matthew to let him know he did get the role after all, but we would need to film tomorrow. Thankfully, Matthew wasn't busy and was able to join us in filming. The only setback was that Matthew had dinner and needed to be home by 4:30. We needed to start filming at 10:30am in order to have enough time to finish. Something we could've done differently to prevent the fear of not having a "hot guy" role, was casting an understudy the same time we cast the main role. This way Matthew would've been prepared to potentially be in our film on Saturday.
